Can you stretch out Sorel boots?
Put your boots on with a pair or two of thick socks. Point a blow dryer about 6 inches away from your boots at the tightest parts of your shoe (usually the toe and heel area). Hold for about 30 seconds on each spot. Curl, bend and wiggle your toes during this process for better stretching.
Should you size up in sorels?
The Sorel size chart is reliable, however some customers do find that they boots do come up a little large in our experience. We would therefore recommend, if you are unsure, to go down half a size to your normal shoe size. Please also be aware that Sorel boots are sized in US sizes and converted to UK sizes.

These boots are known to run small, they’re not insulated on the inside and Sorel says they’re best suited for heavy rain. With sneakers, boots and shoes that DO require socks I usually go for a size 8.5.
How do you stretch pleather boots?
To stretch synthetic plastic shoes, wear them at home with thick socks to break them in. Use a blow dryer while wearing them to shape the shoes to your feet. For faux leather, use a leather-stretching spray or conditioning oil to soften the fabric and stretch them out.
How long does it take to break in winter boots?
New boots can take around 80 to 100 hours to break in. That being said, don’t subject yourself to wearing your boots for 4 days straight and expect your feet to be happy with you. Instead, space this time out to about 2 to 3 hours a day and keep a second pair of boots to change into.
Should winter boots be tight or loose?
Snow boots should hug your foot comfortably, providing both support and insulation. A looser fitting boot will offer greater warmth and comfort but will cause problems when walking longer distances. Snow boots that are too tight will lead to circulation issues and problems walking.
