How long does it take for barium to pass through your system?

You should not drive immediately after the procedure because some of the drugs can affect vision. You may feel a bit ill after the procedure and can be quite constipated for several days. You should drink lots of fluid and eat lots of fruit to minimise the constipation.
Is it normal to be tired after a CT scan?
With sedation, your child may feel groggy, tired, or sleepy for a period of several hours after the procedure. However, the sedation effects should disappear within a day or so. Depending on the results of the CT scan, additional tests or procedures may be scheduled to gather further diagnostic information.
